Shake hard, double strain.

- Triple sec → Cointreau or dry curaçao — the same category — Cointreau is the benchmark and worth the difference
Where it comes from
Versions circulated through the 1980s, but the one that spread is Toby Cecchini’s 1988 recreation at The Odeon in New York, using fresh lime and Cointreau. Its association with Sex and the City came a decade later.
