Vieux Carré
New Orleans in a glass — rye and cognac sharing the driving.

- 30 ml Brandy / Cognac
- 30 ml Sweet vermouth
- 7 ml Bénédictine
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Where it comes from
Walter Bergeron created it at the Carousel Bar in New Orleans’ Hotel Monteleone in 1938. The name is the French Quarter’s own — vieux carré, the old square.
