What it is

Sweet and low in acid, with body from the pulp. It sweetens a drink as much as it lengthens it.
What it does in a drink
Lengthener that sweetens. Because it carries sugar of its own, drinks built on it rarely need syrup.

Best known
- Mimosa IBA Juice first, then fizz, or it foams over the table.
- Screwdriver IBA Fresh oranges make this a genuinely good drink. Cartons do not.
- Tequila Sunrise IBA Pour the grenadine last and do not stir. That is the sunrise.
- Sex on the Beach IBA Order it anyway.
- Painkiller Grate the nutmeg over the top. It is the whole trick.
